Dirk Dullmaier
(*1986 in Seeheim-Jugenheim) is a sound designer, musician, organiser and artist from Darmstadt, Germany. His work incorporates ambient music with modular synthesizers, tape loops, field recording, generative computermusic, installation and interactivity. His influences come from acoustic ecology, environmental perception, the dichotomy of myth and banality and the exploration of physical interactions with electronic music. He studies Sound and Music Production at Hochschule Darmstadt and works a lot with sound synthesis, spatial audio and interactive sound installation. He worked at Zentrum für immersive Medienkunst, Musik und Technologie in Leipzig (Z.I.M.M.T.) as an audio engineer for spatial audio and does freelance workshops in sound synthesis, diy electronics, analogue tapeloops and spatial audio. He is active member of the improvisational music collective META and co-founder of the association Passiflora e.V. in Darmstadt for the promotion of experimental music, art and interdisciplinary exchange.
